Mythopoeic Times

Feature Film Duration:  91 minutes

On the forty fifth parallel in North America

four men are creating their own mythology.

Their mythology is based on a historical figure

of their own invention.  They call him the Artist

And Adventure Theologian Kenny La Roche.

In that name, these men conduct “missions”

to implant signifiers; large elaborate art installations,

in the seldom seen landscape.  this scene follows them

in the creation and installation of the signifier called

Michael And The Dragon.

Mythopoesis is a word that describes a time of social

upheaval.  It is a time ripe for new gods and myths

to be born while the old gods and myths die away.

To quote the film’s Narrator God;  “We are now

living in a time that most psychologists, mythologists

and anthropologists say is the most mythopoeic time

in mankind’s history”.
